EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) released the 2016-17 men's basketball preseason poll on Tuesday. Niagara was picked 11th while defending regular season champions Monmouth was selected first.
The Purple Eagles return six letter winners from last season's team including All-MAAC Third Team selection
Matt Scott, who was named to the 2016-17 Preseason All-Big Four First Team, and sophomores
Dominic Robb,
Marvin Prochet and
Chris Barton.
Niagara opens the season on Nov. 11 against Big 4 rival Buffalo at 8 p.m. in the Gallagher Center.
