NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara University men's basketball team has added junior college transfer Justin Satchell to the program.

Satchell, a 6-foot-8, 225-pound forward from Miramar, Florida, played last season at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Fla. He averaged 11.5 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game, while shooting 46.3 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from 3-pointers and 76.3 percent from the free-throw line in 29 games.

Satchell helped St. Petersburg, a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I program, to a 25-6 record including an 8-1 conference mark which led to a Suncoast Conference regular-season title.  Prior to St. Petersburg, Satchell played at Missouri State-West Plains, an NJCAA Division I program in West Plains, Mo., during the 2013-14 season; he averaged 3.2 ppg and 2.0 rpg in 13 games.

Satchell, who selected Niagara over Kennesaw State and Rhode Island, will have two years of eligibility remaining.
