Men's Basketball Announces First Signing Of 2015

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. –The Niagara men's basketball program signed its first recruit of 2015 with the addition of Dominic Robb.

"Dom has good size and length and is really progressing offensively," head coach Chris Casey said about Robb, who has a 7-foot-1 wingspan.  "We are excited to coach him and he will be a very good front court player in our league."

Robb, a 6-foot-8, 215 lbs. forward from Pittsburgh, graduated from Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School in 2014. As a senior, Robb helped the North Catholic Trojans advance to the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League (WPIAL) Western Finals and Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Quarterfinals. He ended the 2014 season with several accolades, including PG First Team All-Section (WPIAL A), PIAA All-State Class A Team, PG North Fab-Five All-State, BC Times Fab-Five and Round-Ball Classic All-Star.

Robb spent the 2014-15 season playing at Hunn School of Princeton, New Jersey, a university preparatory school that has produced over 40 NCAA Division I student-athletes in the last 15 years. Robb averaged 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks per game. He earned First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) and Second Team New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJISAA) Prep A All-State honors.

"I chose Niagara because of the strong community and atmosphere," Robb said. "The coaching staff is willing to take a young team and work hard to win a championship and the academic community is willing to help you achieve your goals."

Robb picked Niagara over VMI and received interest from Colgate, Holy Cross and Bucknell.
