Niagara Athletics Makes Change In Leadership Of Men’s Soccer Program

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Niagara University will not renew the contract of men's soccer head coach Eric Barnes, it was announced today by Director of Athletics Simon Gray.

"We appreciate the time and dedication that Eric has put into the Niagara soccer program the last four years," Gray said. "Eric is very passionate about the game of soccer and we wish him well in his future pursuits."

Barnes, who was an assistant coach on the 2012 MAAC Championship team, went 11-39-7 as head coach in three seasons.

A search for the new head coach is underway. In the interim, assistant coach Miguel Rodrigues will oversee operations of the men's soccer program.
