NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - Supporters of the Niagara University men's basketball program are invited to attend the Purple and White scrimmage on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 4 p.m.

Fans will get a first glance at the 2015-16 Purple Eagles along with prizes, giveaways and other interactive activities for those in attendance.

Head coachChris Caseybegins his third season leading the Purple Eagles. NU, which was the third youngest team in the nation last season, wrapped up the 2014-15 regular season winning four straight games.

NU returns six letterwinners from last season, including junior guards Emile Blackman and Cameron Fowlerand sophomore guardsKaronn Davi sand Matt Scott. There will be nine new faces on the roster this season, including freshman forward Marvin Prochetand guard Romero Collier, and junior college transfers forwards Maurice Taylor Jr., Ali Tew and Justin Satchell. USC transfer guard Kahlil Duke sand the top scoring freshman in NCAA Division II Kevin Larkin will have to sit out this season due to NCAA transfer restrictions.

The Purple Eagles open the 2015-16 season at Old Dominion on Nov. 13 as part of the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament. Niagara opens its home schedule against Brown University on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.
