WomenThe Niagara cross country team travels to Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y. for the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship on Friday, Nov. 14.Â
Meet Info:- The Purple Eagles will be one of 40 teams competing in the men's race.
- The women's race will sport a field of 40 teams.
- The women will get the afternoon started with an 8k at noon with the men following with a 10k at 1:00 p.m.
In the Spotlight: Tyler Van Leeuwen
- Sophomore Tyler Van Leeuwen has raced in all six meets this season.
- Van Leeuwen managed to beat his personal best three times in three meets in a row, his best time being 26:17 on Sept. 19 at the National Catholic Championships at Notre Dame.
- Last week at the 2014 MAAC Championships, Van Leeuwen crossed the line with a time of 27:05, helping Niagara's men's team finish with a 264 to finish ahead of St. Peter's and Manhattan.

In the Spotlight: Maggie Lawler
- Sophomore Maggie Lawler raced in five meets this season after not competing in the first meet.
- Lawler set a personal best record at the 2014 MAAC Championship [23:39] finishing second in the first pack of Purple Eagles, nine seconds behind Brianna Malanga. The women's team finished with a score of 278 to finish ahead of St. Peter's and behind Fairfield.Â
