NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - After a busy summer recruiting, head coach Chris Casey and the Niagara men's basketball program are excited to announce the latest additions to the team.

Joining the Purple Eagles are Cameron Fowler, Wesley Myers, Ramone Snowden and Marcus Ware.

Cameron Fowler | R-Freshman | 6-0 | 165 | Guard | Detroit, Mich. | Iowa State

Folwer redshirted last season at Iowa State and will be eligible to play this season. Fowler was a standout guard at U-D Jesuit in Detroit where he was a four-year starter and a three-time All-Catholic League selection. He averaged 17.1 points and 4.2 assists as a sophomore to help his team win the Catholic Division Championship and was named MVP of the team. As a junior, he averaged 18.2 points and 6.1 assists and was named the team's top defensive player. He averaged 17.2 points and 8.0 assists as a senior and was named Detroit News' Third-Team All-PSL Metro team in 2012.

"Cameron will get us up and down the floor and bring energy on both ends," Casey said.  "We look for him to play both guard spots."

Wesley Myers | Freshman | 6-1 | 180 | Guard | Brooklyn, N.Y. | Boys & Girls High School

Myers was a pivotal member of the Boys & Girls High School team that won three straight PSAL Class AA titles, including the school's first-ever state title as a junior in 2012.  Myers concluded his career by averaging 15.9 points per game and being named to the New York State Sportswriters Association (NYSSWA) Team Class AA Team, All-USA New York Honorable Mention and All-Brooklyn Honorable Mention. Myers received offers from Rider, South Carolina and Stony Brook.

"Wesley can really score the ball from the perimeter and in transition," Casey said.  "He can get to the basket and create for his teammates."

Ramone Snowden | Freshman | 6-5 | 210 | Forward | Virginia Beach, Va. | Kellam High School

Snowden was an instrumental piece for the Kellam Knights in Virginia Beach, Va. where he helped the Knights to 76 wins, two district regular season titles and two district tournament championships. Snowden averaged 17 points per game and eight boards per game as junior before having a breakout senior season. Snowden was named second team all-state and the Beach District Player of the Year after posting 22 points per game, 15 rebounds per game and three assists per game.  Snowden, who had 22 double-doubles as a senior, had a double-double (14 points and 12 rebounds) in the VHSCA All-Star game in July. Snowden was once ranked the 18th best prospect in Virginia of the class of 2013.

"Ramone is a very skilled player in the front court who will fill needs on  both ends," Casey said.  "He can score and rebound, as well as get teammates involved with his passing."

Marcus Ware | R-Senior | 6-8 | 215 | Forward | Vineland, N.J. | Monmouth University

Ware spent the last four seasons at Monmouth University where he averaged 6.7 points per game and 4.0 rebounds per game in 85 appearances. Ware had a career season in his first full season of play as a sophomore during the 2010-11 campaign when he was named to the Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team after averaging 7.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Last season, Ware played in 30 of the 31 games and was third on the team in rebounds per game (4.0). Ware, who redshirted after two games in his freshman season, has one year of eligibility remaining.

"Marcus is a versatile front court player with experience," Casey stated.  "He can defend different positions and can score the ball around the basket and on the perimeter."
