Men’s Cross Country Competes At Siena College Invitational

FULL RESULTS

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Racing for the first time this fall at The Crossings at Colonie, Niagara University's men's cross country team got a preview of the course that will be used for the 2018 MAAC Cross Country Championships.

Meet Marks
  • Niagara fielded only three runners for the meet; Joe Tricarico, Spencer Swoboda and Justin Sagasta.
  • Tricarico was the first Purple Eagle across, finishing the 8k in 28:50.7. Swoboda was next with a mark of 31:09.1, while Sagasta trailed with 32:19.6.
  • As a unit, the Purple Eagles ran the course at an average rate of 30:46.5.
Coach's Corner
  • Head coach Christine Kloiber: "For the guys we had there, we still wanted to give them an opportunity to preview the course. Our focus was a good tempo effort to hammer out some pacing for the first 8k. We had some mixed bag results, but that gives us a chance to adjust their mental and physical preparation going forward."

Up Next
  • Niagara will have the next two weekends off from competition prior to the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, PA. The men's 8k will open the day at 12:15 p.m.
