Caruana Claims Purple Pride Performer of the Week NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - With his four-point performance in men's hockey's series sweep over Western Michigan this past weekend, senior captain Matt Caruana (Orono, Ont.) has claimed the Purple Pride Performer of the Week award. The forward has helped No. 18 Niagara (4-1-0) continue the nation's longest home-unbeaten streak in the nation at 20 games (18-0-2).

Men’s Hockey Forward Cook Honored Niagara Athlete of the Week NIAGARA UN., N.Y. – Men’s hockey sophomore Ted Cook (Hogansburg, N.Y.) was named Niagara University Athlete of the Week for his record-setting weekend for the 16th-ranked Purple Eagles. The forward scored three power-play goals, including both game-winning tallies in Niagara’s sweep over Wayne State.

Reaney Nabs Niagara University Athlete of the Week Honors NIAGARA UN., N.Y. – Sophomore Les Reaney (Ceylon, Sask.) was named Niagara University Athlete of the Week Tuesday, after leading the men’s hockey team to a 6-2 victory over crosstown rival Canisius, Dec. 30. The forward scored a pair of goals in the win.
