Dufour-Coursol Collects Second MAAC Player Of The Week Award

EDISON, N.J. – Olivier Dufour-Coursol was named MAAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.

Dufour-Coursol extended his singles winning streak to 10 straight with wins over Fairfield and Bryant over the weekend. Dufour-Coursol defeated Fairfield’s Erik Kremheller, 6-3, 6-4, on Saturday and rallied to beat Bryant’s Zac Morris in three sets, 6-7 (5), 6-0, 6-3 on Sunday.

Dufour-Coursol improved to a MAAC-best 21-6 on the season, 17-3 in dual matches, 14-0 in three singles and a perfect 5-0 in MAAC play. Dufour-Coursol’s 21 wins are the most since by a Purple Eagle since the 2004-05 season (22). The Quebec native earned his first player of the week award on March 19. 

Niagara (13-7) travels to play at Binghamton (13-9) in a mid-week matchup on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
